TDs urged to ‘end deception’ on OSI transfer

FIANNA FÁIL’S two TDs for the Waterford constituency, including Environment Minister Martin Cullen, have been called on to “end the deception” and tell the people of Dungarvan whether or not the Government’s decentralisation package is going to be delivered for the town.

The call has come from Fine Gael’s Deputy John Deasy, who has warned that the people of Dungarvan will not tolerate what he terms “this deception” for what would be a third time since the Government’s decentralisation proposals were first announced.

However both Fianna Fáil deputies have wasted no time in responding to Mr Deasy, with Mr Cullen insisting the transfer of the Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSI) department to Dungarvan will take place. “Of that I have no doubt,” he said.
