GARDAÍ carrying out a murder investigation, following the stabbing of a 47-year-old asylum seeker, in Tralee, Co Kerry, are examining a taxi used to take him to hospital, at the weekend.

The victim was named yesterday, as George Tkeshelashvili, from the Republic of Georgia.

He lived at Atlas House, in the centre of Tralee. He received a fatal stab wound to the chest during a row at Westward Court, Mary Street, Tralee, at around 2.30pm, on Saturday.
