The jury in the trial of a man accused of murder after an argument over a game of backgammon will begin their deliberations tomorrow at the Central Criminal Court.

GARDAÍ carrying out a murder investigation, following the stabbing of a 47-year-old asylum seeker, in Tralee, Co Kerry, are examining a taxi used to take him to hospital, at the weekend.

GARDAÍ were last night trying to trace the final movements of a man found dead in a ditch with stab wounds near the canal in Mullingar town.
