School shortage forced us to move, says mum

Karen Lynott put her daughter Robyn on waiting lists for schools in Lucan when the little girl was just six months old. But last June, as the five-year-old was due to start primary school and there was still no guarantee of a place for her, the mother-of-two had to move to Co Kildare.

Karen was upset at having to leave her home of seven years, particularly as she still works in the west Dublin suburb of Lucan, running a Montessori nursery school.
