A MAN and woman were arrested in Limerick yesterday after a handgun and ammunition were found in a house at John Carew Park, Southill.

Armed detectives from Roxboro Road station, led by Detective Sergeant Tom O’Connor, surrounded the house and two people, in their 20s, were arrested.

The gun and ammunition were found in a follow-up search.
