Body of young man discovered in field

GARDAÍ are awaiting the results of toxicology tests following the discovery of a 20-year-old man in a field in Kerry over the weekend.

A post mortem examination was carried on the body of Timothy (Timmy) Somers, of Deerpark, Killarney on Saturday night and gardaí have confirmed they are no longer treating the death as suspicious.

The body was found by a passer-by at Ballytrasna, Faha, about eight miles from the town, at 9.30am on Saturday. There were no visible injuries on Mr Somers’ body, which was found lying face downwards.
