Student’s funeral in Clare

THE funeral takes place today in Mayo of the student whose body was washed ashore in Co Clare on Tuesday.

Alan Duffy, 19, from Kilmovee, Ballaghadreen, went missing from Galway last month after he was seen walking near the Salmon Weir bridge in the city where he was studying.

His body was discovered on a beach in Fanore on Tuesday afternoon. Alan will be buried in Kilmovee after requiem Mass in his native village today.
