Striking doctors receive growing support in an escalation of action

GPs, junior doctors and consultants are set to withdraw co-operation from health boards and health agencies in an escalation of action supporting striking public health doctors.

Representatives of the three groups will meet this week to draw up a strategy for industrial action.

It is likely to include a refusal by GPs to collect live vaccines such as polio, BCG (tuberculosis) and MMR (measles, mumps, rubella).
