Labour-FF coalition not ruled out

LABOUR leader Pat Rabbitte said yesterday a coalition with Fianna Fáil could not be ruled out even though he is personally opposed to such as move.

He said a decision on entering into a coalition would have to be taken by party members and acknowledged that a new leader would have to accept whatever decision was made.

In the run-up to this year's general election, Mr Rabbitte broke with the party line when he said he would not be willing to serve as a minister in a coalition government with Fianna Fáil.
