Gardaí consider family feud link to arson attack

GARDAÍ in Wexford are investigating claims a family feud may have fuelled an arson attack in Enniscorthy.

Gardaí are trying to trace a man seen in the area around the house just before smoke began emerging from it shortly after 9pm on Sunday. Two fire brigade units fought the blaze which gutted the unoccupied house.

Meanwhile, a fire fighter from Kilkenny was still being treated in hospital following a fall at a blaze in the city on Saturday. The man was tending to a small blaze in the TexTech sports equipment factory when he fell 20 feet, suffering serious head injuries. He was taken to St Luke’s Hospital before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
