Gang attack men with screwdrivers in failed robbery

GARDAÍ are seeking four men who fled the scene of a botched robbery in which a 62-year-old-man was attacked with a screwdriver.

James Browne from Ballyhea, Co Cork was hospitalised after he tried to foil a robbery at his son Jeremiah's home yesterday afternoon.

Four men driving a Northern Ireland-registered Mercedes attempted to flee the house when they were approached by the father and son.
