I, Keano passed up in Cork, claims producer

CASH-STRAPPED Cork Opera House passed up the opportunity to stage the hit musical, I, Keano in the soccer star’s home town, the show’s producer has claimed.

Pat Moylan offered to stage it as part of Cork’s Capital of Culture in January 2004.

The musical has received rave reviews everywhere and is the hit theatre event of the year, packing out houses and attracting West End interest.
