Lidl customers warned of dangerous bottles of wine
The group, which has around 40 stores in the Republic, has issued a recall of bottles of Australian Creston Bay - a cabernet shiraz - after high levels of sulphur dioxide were found in the wine.
Although the company has not issued any public warning notice about the product, Lidl sources yesterday confirmed that the wine was been on sale in its outlets in the Republic for about a week before it had been withdrawn.
