Riverdance duo tap into €40m paycheck

RIVERDANCE duo John McColgan and Moya Doherty waltzed away with nearly €40 million in pay over two years.

The couple, who developed the hit stage show for the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest interval, have reaped the success of Riverdance’s worldwide performances, according to latest accounts for one of their holding companies.

Documents obtained from the Companies Registration Office show that in 2001, the directors of their Abhann Productions company were paid over €22m.
