ART students took to the streets of Cork yesterday as their fight against plans to relocate their college escalated.

Almost 300 students of the city’s Crawford College of Art and Design (CCAD), a satellite campus of Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), marched through the city and vowed to resist any attempts to move their college to CIT’s main Bishopstown campus.

They also demanded the immediate release of Government funding to refurbish the CCAD building.
