Prison officer porn probe

AN investigation is under way at one of the country’s largest prisons after an elaborate internet porn collection was discovered on prison computers.

Two prison officers based at Cloverhill Prison in Dublin have been suspended from duty while the internal inquiry takes place under the direction of prison governor William Kane and IT specialists.

Authorities at the 450-bed remand facility were alerted to the pornography find by IT staff after it was spotted that a computer was being used to access the internet even though prison computers were not set up for internet usage.
