DAVID TRIMBLE has to end the nonsense of the last four years and start working the Northern Ireland institutions, the Taoiseach said yesterday.

Attacking Mr Trimble over the failure to restore the power-sharing executive, Mr Ahern said it was crucial the Ulster Unionists played their part.

"We need to hear Mr Trimble and all of his party clearly state that they want to see cross-party operation of the Assembly that they are prepared to work this out.
