THE Government is to revamp the State’s employment rights system and review labour legislation after a damning report found the system is dysfunctional.

The Government will also consider reorganising the State’s dispute resolution services - such as the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) and Labour Court - bringing them all under the one roof.

Labour Affairs Minister Tony Killeen said the planned overhaul would “facilitate the simplification and modernisation of procedures and provide greater transparency and ease of access for all users”.
