LEGISLATION will be introduced in the Dáil today to ensure that TDs and senators cannot be prosecuted on child pornography charges during the impeachment process of Judge Brian Curtin.

This legislation applys to the fulfilling of their constitutional functions during the process.

Government Chief Whip Mary Hanafin said last night that a bill to amend the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act 1998 would be brought before the Oireachtas today.
