Disciplinary action rests with Commissioner

A GARDA working group is to be set up to examine the recommendations made in the first Morris Tribunal Report.

The Garda Commissioner must also decide what disciplinary action is taken against the still-serving members involved either in corrupt or negligent behaviour.

Apart from Supt Kevin Lennon and Det Gda Noel McMahon, 17 other members have been cited for either negligence, dereliction of duty or obstructing the work of the Tribunal.
