HUMAN remains discovered in a field in Cork were last night being analysed to see if they are those of a man missing for almost four years.

The human skull was discovered on a farm, in a remote area near the north Cork town of Buttevant, by a landowner at about 4pm on Wednesday.

The man immediately notified gardaí and the skull was taken to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital for analysis.
