Buses to use hard shoulder in bid to ease traffic congestion

BUSES will be allowed to use the hard shoulder on main roads during peak hours to speed up traffic movement.

Minister for Transport Seamus Brennan said yesterday he was examining opening up the hard shoulder on routes coming into Dublin in morning and evenings.

The minister also announced a clampdown on driving instructors and on drivers with no insurance.
