Assault victims fighting for lives
Both men were found badly injured on Saturday morning, one in a Co Donegal town, the other in Dublin’s south city.
The young men appeared to have been victims of vicious assaults.
Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information about an incident which has left a 20-year-old man unconscious. The man is believed to have been struck on the head and was unconscious when discovered.
A 27-year-old man is fighting for his life after being attacked in Letterkenny early on Saturday morning.
The Donegal victim was first taken to Letterkenny General Hospital before being transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital.
It is believed another man assaulted him on Kilmacrenan Road around 3am.
The Dublin victim, who is described as six foot tall and of strong build, was found with head injuries by a passerby at Harcourt Lane, off Harcourt Road, at 9am on Saturday morning.
