No suicide reports as prisoners rush back to cells to catch Corrie
Inmates in Mountjoy Prison, which is earmarked for closure and relocation, are reportedly rushing back to their cells before lock-up so that they won’t miss the start of Coronation Street and other programmes.
Putting TV sets in all cells was recommended two years ago by a steering group studying self-harm in prison. But because of the antiquated nature of the complex, it took some time to put sets in all the cells.
