FIVE Donegal gardaí ordered to transfer to Dublin following stinging criticisms in Morris Tribunal reports have not moved, it emerged yesterday.

A garda spokesman said three of the officers have taken sick leave, one is appealing the transfer and a fifth has retired.

Fine Gael MEP Senator Jim Higgins said: "The Justice Minister and the Garda Commissioner need to explain why the five gardaí transferred from the Donegal division in the wake of the sensational second report of the Morris Tribunal have not taken up their new postings.
