Theron and Townsend set to wed

CHARLIZE THERON and Dublin actor Stuart Townsend will marry at their Malibu home, California, this summer, according to reports.

After four years of dating, the couple are finally ready to exchange vows.

The Monster Oscar-winner has been busy making plans and shopping for a wedding dress with her mother Gerda.

A friend told US magazine In Touch Weekly: “It’s so hush hush that they have sworn everyone to absolute secrecy and haven’t revealed the exact date or location.

“But the wedding will definitely be in the Los Angeles area - more than likely at Charlize’s Malibu waterfront home - within a month or possibly even sooner.”

Both husband and wife-to-be took part in 2004’s Head in the Clouds.

Theron grew up in South Africa. She later travelled to the US where she got a job at the Joffrey Ballet in New York. However, an injured knee put an end to her dancing career.

At the age of 18, her mother encouraged her to go to Los Angeles to try a career in the movie industry. She had her first big part in The Devil’s Advocate.

Theron later became the first South African to win the Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster in 2003.
