Banks may overcharge by €2,000 a year

CONSUMERS could be overcharged on average about €2,000 a year for financial products, Fine Gael has said.

And banks could be making as much as €800 million extra a year as a result.

Banks who charge above the odds should now be “named and shamed”, Fine Gael argues.
