TRAFFIC in Wexford town came to a virtual standstill yesterday afternoon as irate taxi and coach drivers, who say they were working for as little as €5 an hour, took to the street in a go-slow protest.

The drivers are up in arms over new traffic lights, the new one-way system and other traffic management systems introduced in the town in recent weeks.

Wexford Borough Council has already come in for serious criticism over the new traffic system, particularly with the introduction of traffic lights on Hill Street in Wexford Town.
