DANGEROUS levels of cancer-causing radon gas have been found in one in four schools.

Studies have found that one in 10 deaths from lung cancer are linked to radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas.

Remedial action should be considered in schools where radon levels exceed 200 becquerels per cubic metre and in the workplace when levels exceed 400 becquerels per cubic metre, a report has said.
