Man quizzed over McCartney pub murder

DETECTIVES were last night questioning a man about the murder of Robert McCartney who was stabbed to death after a row in a Belfast bar.

The 31-year-old man walked into a police station with a solicitor to be interviewed, the PSNI said.

Mr McCartney, 33, a father of two, died when he was attacked by IRA men outside Magennis’s Bar on the night of January 30.
