Dunlop accused of stealing £25,000

THE former Government press secretary, Frank Dunlop, has been accused of stealing £25,000 from the businessman who gave him that amount of money to bribe politicians.

Lawyers for Fine Gael councillor, Liam Cosgrave claim Mr Dunlop engaged in the dishonest act of stealing money that was itself being used for a dishonest purpose.

Michael O’Higgins SC for Mr Cosgrave said the political lobbyist had failed to follow the instructions given to him by Jim Kennedy to bribe politicians to rezone lands at Carrickmines in south Dublin.
