THE owner of the Dublin pub where a barman was seriously wounded during an armed robbery on Sunday night was himself robbed of €40,000 two days earlier.

Gardaí said the barman, who is in a serious condition in hospital after being shot in the shoulder, is “very, very lucky” to be alive.

The 24-year-old bar worker was shot after the two robbers, one carrying a shotgun, the other a handgun, walked into the Lagoona Bar in Dublin’s docklands district and demanded money.
