BIN collectors in Dublin have been urged by their union to follow management instructions to stop collecting waste from non-paying households next week.

IMPACT trade union has also told its members to seek union advice if they feel their health and safety, or that of the public, is put at risk by pickets or protests.

A spokesperson for Dublin City Council confirmed yesterday they would be initially targeting bins for which no charge has been paid over the past three years.
