Mother’s plea for return of pregnant teen

Ciara Farrelly, 16, was last seen at her home in Tallaght, south Dublin, late on Monday night.

Fears are growing for her health as she is due to give birth in just six weeks and has been suffering ill health.

Mother Catherine, from Rossfield Park in Tallaght, said: “I’m begging her to come home. I am very worried for both my daughter and her unborn baby.”

Mrs Farrelly said Ciara rang her on Tuesday but would not reveal where she was staying. She believes Ciara is with the father of the child, a 22-year-old man. “I’m desperate to have her home. She is only a child,” she said.

Gardaí have appealed for information on Ciara’s wherabouts. She was last seen at Rossfield Park, Tallaght at 11.20pm on Monday, wearing black tracksuit bottoms with pink stripes, a baby blue jacket and blue and white Nike runners. She is 5’5”, of medium build, with highlighted brown hair.
