Pre-school to open in centre for asylum seekers

A NEW multi-cultural pre-school for children of asylum seekers will be launched in Cork today.

The Páistí pre-school, based at the direct provision Kinsale Road Accommodation Centre (KRAC) in Cork, will cater for up to 15 children, aged between one and four.

Forty-five children in that age group, whose parents are living at the centre while their claims for asylum are being processed, will be eligible to attend.
