Green hopes to treble local seats

THE Green Party could treble its local council seats but the European Parliament will be a closely-fought battle, party leader said Trevor Sargent yesterday.

Mr Sargent said people are very angry with the Government, as the party calls upon undecided people to vote Green in tomorrow’s election.

The Green Party said its strategy for the June 11 local and European election was to make significant gains at local level.
