Emigrant agency promised

AN AGENCY to help Irish emigrants facing hard times abroad has been promised by Fine Gael and Labour if they get into power at the next election.

The two parties also pledged to immediately increase funding for emigrant representative groups.

They made the pledge at the launch of their latest joint policy document yesterday.
