Kinsale builder seeks permission for 290 houses and apartments
Local development firm E&T Builders is seeking permission for 290 houses and apartments on 22 acres of land at Rath Bag, Abbeylands and commons. The proposal includes a relief road, says E&T company direct Kenneth O’Brien.
The application is for a scheme of two and three- storey buildings, ranging from semi-detached houses to terraced units and apartments, in a development that valued at around €90 million. It is the biggest residential application to date for Kinsale town, where other housing schemes are being developed by McInerneys and Flemings.
Meanwhile, planning permission has been sought for an apartment development in Cork city’s suburbs, of up to nine storeys in height.
Cork City Council is to be asked to sanction a development of 39 apartments at the Quarry, Boreenmanna Road/Knockrea near Rockboro school.
The application is being made by a Mary Collins, and includes parking at lower ground level for 16 cars, seven on-site car parking spaces and a roof garden.
