O’Reilly murder: man released without charge
The 35-year-old man was arrested early on Tuesday at his home in Crumlin.
He was questioned on suspicion he withheld information from those investigating the murder.
Rachel O'Reilly, 30, was beaten to death at her home in the Naul, north Co Dublin on October 4.
She was struck at least six times across the head. The murder weapon hasn't been found.
The man arrested had been detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under the Offences Against the State Act.
The man, who knew the murdered mother of two young boys, was questioned about a statement he gave claiming he was with the chief suspect on the day of the killing.
His arrest came a week after detectives exhumed the body, taking a number of notes from the coffin.
These are still being forensically examined.
Three people two men and a woman have been arrested and detained by
investigators.
Two, a 44-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were held on suspicion they withheld information.
The second man, aged 33, was questioned about the actual murder.
Gardaí said last night that their investigation is still ongoing.
