Baby boom puts patients ‘at risk’

PREGNANT women and babies are being put at risk because services at the country’s largest maternity hospital are so overstretched.

Dr Declan Keane, Master of the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, has warned patient care was

being compromised due to massive demand and poor staffing levels.
