ONLY a tiny percentage of students drop out of college for good, a study has found.

An examination of student retention at University College Dublin found that over 15% of students gave up their chosen course over a three-year period.

It was reckoned, however, that over 95% had re-entered the college or another third level institution, or intend to do so soon.
