Gardaí appeal for information in rape investigations

GARDAÍ in Limerick are making progress in their investigations into two alleged rapes in the city over the weekend.

A 19-year-old French student was found wandering injured in the Corbally area at 1am on Saturday after the family she was staying with reported her missing the previous night.

The victim claimed she was taken to waste ground at Shannon Field at about 11pm on Friday and raped. Her alleged attacker is described as being in his mid-20s with a tight-cut hair.
