Cabinet crunch talks on Curtin crisis

IN addressing the fate of Judge Brian Curtin, the Cabinet this morning faces the biggest crisis to hit the Government since returning to office two years ago.

The Government is under intense pressure to take decisive action following the collapse of the case against the Circuit Court judge on charges of possessing child pornography.

But the Cabinet may defer a final decision or appoint a high-ranking group to examine the case, thereby parking the problem until after the elections in June.
