SPECIAL temporary embassies will be set up in each of the six cities hosting Ireland’s European Cup qualifier away games.

Football fans to get temporary embassies at away games

A team of diplomats will move into the towns, beginning with Stuttgart in Germany on September 2, to smooth over any difficulties experienced by Irish fans.

The other away matches scheduled over the next 19 months will take place in Cyprus on October 7, 2006; San Marino on February 7, 2007; Slovakia on September 8, 2007; the Czech Republic on September 12, 2007; and finally Wales on November 17, 2007.
