BRITISH Prime Minister Tony Blair was yesterday told by Sinn Féin he must face down elements within the British security establishment who were responsible for partisan policies in the North.

Party chairman Mitchel McLaughlin said during a visit to London that, while Mr Blair had played an important part in the peace process, he had still to deliver on all his pledges.

“Because some issues are being put through the filter of what would or would not upset unionists by the British Government, there is a great frustration in the nationalist and republican community about what is being delivered and not delivered under the Good Friday Agreement.
