A PSYCHOLOGIST claims he became the victim of a campaign of bullying and intimidation by his employers after he raised concerns about the transfer of a patient to the controversial Leas Cross nursing home in Dublin.

Dr Mark Harrold told the Employment Appeals Tribunal yesterday that management at St Michael's House, Ballymun manufactured a series of spurious complaints against him after he had written to Health Minister Micheál Martin about the case in 2003.

The inquiry was told that Dr Harrold's problems with his employers only began after he raised concerns about the treatment of an elderly disabled patient, Peter McKenna.
