Budding gardeners splashing out €110m

GARDENS are the new passion and fashion for young homeowners.

Around €110 million will be spent, mainly in the weeks ahead, on outdoor plants and flowers.

State agency Bord Glas has targeted the novice gardener in a promotional campaign to mark the start of summer time.
