Bypass work starts in 2007

WORK on a E22m road that will bypass one of Kerry’s most notorious traffic-choked towns is due to start in 2007.

Plans for the Castleisland bypass went on public display, yesterday. There’s a choice of three routes, all to the west of the town and each about 5.2kms in length.

A decision on a route is expected to be made in November by Kerry County Council and the National Roads Authority.
