Quiz heats up with sudden death round
It was a closely contested quiz all night which saw the girls of Ursuline Convent lead for most of the way.
However, in the last two rounds neither could race ahead and both Cashel Community School and Gairm Scoil Mhuire finished on 82 points each.
Then, with both teams having 15 individual correct answers, the quiz went to sudden death and, in the fourth extra round, Gairm Scoil Mhuire held on to win.

At the second schools quiz held at CBS Charleville, it was a very tight affair. With Ard Scoil Ris, Limerick and Patrician Academy Mallow tied on 98 points each at the end of the quiz and, on the count back of individual answers, victory went to Ard Scoil Ris who had 22 individual correct answers against the 21 for Patrician Academy, Mallow.
