Winning day at the races

IRELAND’S latest lotto millionaire bought his winning ticket on the last day of the Listowel races in Kerry almost three weeks ago, it emerged last night.

If the winner didn’t have luck at the races, they certainly struck gold midweek.

Rumours were rife in Listowel last night that a local hit the €1.35 million jackpot on Wednesday. The winning ticket was bought in Garvey’s SuperValu on Convent Street on Friday, September 23.
